Ill. Frank Preble, Past Potentate of Kora, is presently serving as Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors at Springfield. He has served on that board for the past 5 years. Frank also presently serves as Treasurer for Kora Shriners, and resides in Auburn with his Lady Martha.

Noble Timothy Luttrell was just recently appointed as an Associate Member for 2009. Tim has been very active on the Maine Shrine Lobster Bowl Committee, currently serving as General Chairman and serves on the Imperial Athletic Committee. Tim started his Masonic journey with Auburn Chapter, Order of DeMolay, joined Tranquil Lodge in 1983 and Kora in 1989. Tim and Lady Sue reside in Lewiston and have 2 children and a granddaughter.

Dr. Paul Poulin is beginning his second term as a member of the board at Boston. Paul is a Past Thrice Potent Master of Yates Lodge of Perfection, and Past Commander of St. Albans Commandery. He and his wife Kim reside in York.

John R. Knox has been appointed to his first three year term at Boston, having served as an Associate Member during 2008. He is a Past Master of Saco Lodge, Past Patron of Annette Chapter, OES, and a member of both the York Rite and Scottish Rite bodies. John was elected to serve Kora as Assistant Rabban in January of 2009. He and Lady Becky have 3 grown children, 4 grand children, and reside in Windham.

All of these Nobles demonstrate a dedication to the fraternity by their commitment to serve on the respective Board of Governors. Each board is responsible for overseeing the administration and operating budgets of our hospitals. The present challenge of our economy places added responsibility on our boards to effectively manage the hospitals.

Our Nobility cannot support this hospital system alone. It is becoming more important each year for all of us to reach out in our communities, to help get the message out of what Shriners Hospitals is all about – providing the best care to the kids and their families at no cost. If you, personally, want to consider including Shriners Hospitals in your own estate planning, please contact our Imperial Donor Relations Office by visiting www.shrinerhq.org.

As a Unit or a Club, feel free to contact any of the above members of our Boards to conduct a presentation at one of your meetings. Any of us would be happy to assist. We can also provide a list of items needed by the Child Life Services Department at each of the hospitals, for which they would be happy to receive donations.*
