Kora Membership Fees and Assessments

The following membership fees and assessments are currently in effect for Kora Shriners.

Initiation of New Noble $125.00 This includes all applicable application fees, current year's dues, imperial assessments, standard Fez and ceremonial meals for the Noble and his Lady or guest.

Regular membership $70.00 per year includes $5.00 Hospital levy and $15.00 Imperial assessment. Reinstatement of Nobles who have demitted $70.00.

Reinstatement of Nobles suspended 1st offense $70.00 plus $5.00 for each year the suspension is in effect. Example, Noble Joe Shriner was suspended for the second time December 31st 2002, and decides he wants to apply for reinstatement in Shrine the following fees would apply $70.00 + $50.00 For the 10 years he has been suspended the total due would be $120.00.

Q: What portion of the annual dues stays with Kora Shrine?

A: Fifty dollars stays with Kora for temple operations

Q: How is the remaining Twenty dollars of my annual dues utilized?

A: Five dollars is used to supplement hospital operation, the remaining fifteen dollars is used to supplement Imperial operations

Q: What is required to take a Demit from membership and what is the benefit?

A: Quite often life throws us a curve ball and we must prioritize our obligation, unfortunately Shrine is one of the first thing to go. If you are current in your dues, you may request a demit from the Temple Recorder and upon your desire to return, you simply pay the current dues and you receive all the benefits of Shrine without question.

Q: What if I am in distress and I can't pay my current dues?

A: You may apply to the Temple Recorder for relief and if you're found worthy assistance will be provided to you.

Q: Can I pay my dues by credit or debit card and are there any other fees for this service?

A: You may pay your dues by credit or debit card, via US mail, Kora Web site, by phone or in person at the Temple during regular business hours.

Q: Am I required to purchase circus tickets, lobster bowl tickets, DeMolay breakfast tickets or any Shrine fund raising tickets I receive in the mail or otherwise

A: Tickets sales are an additional source of revenue for the Fraternal and/or Philanthropic programs of the Shrine and aid in keeping your dues reasonable. It is strongly recommended that you purchase and/or sell tickets You are responsible for all used tickets, if you do not want tickets please notify the Temple Office or Recorder

Can units update their own web page?

Yes, each unit has been asked to assign one noble to be the unit's Web Coordinator. Once the web coordinator has gone through specific training, he will be given administrator access to your unit's web page and group. Some of the things he will be able to do are but not limited to:

  • Maintain the list of elected officers and contact information
  • Add descriptive sections about your unit that will allow a potential new noble to see what your unit is all about. This section should contain things like financial and attendance commitments, etc.
