During the holiday season of 2012, Kora Temple held its 7th Annual FEZtival of Trees. It was the Holiday event of the year. This event has seen the greatest rate of growth of all of Kora's major evnts. It is welcomed by both the nobility and the general public alike.
In 2013, the dates for our 8th Annual FEZtival of Trees will be November 23rd through the 30th.
Be sure to come in a see the beautiful trees and decorations, take a chance on the silent auction, purchase your tree raffle tickets, visit our craft show, and top it off with a visit with Santa.
Make plans now to attend the fastest growing Holiday Festival in Central Maine held at our very own KORA SHRINE CENTER!
There will be numerous Community Bands and local choirs scheduled to perform throughout the week.
The object of this festival is to have organizations and businesses donate fully decorated artificial trees that will be displayed throughout the event. The public is invited to come and see this extravaganza of trees, as well as some special displays benefiting the Christmas theme.
A sign designating the name of your Business or Organization will be prominently displayed with your tree throughout the event.
Admission to the showing of the trees is $2 for adults and children are free. Raffle tickets will be available for sale so that the viewers may enter their tickets in the hopes of winning a beautiful tree. Each tree’s winner gets to take it home, fully decorated and all ready for the holidays.
A Craft Fair will be underway during the Feztival on the First Floor of the Temple and we will also have refreshments and food available throughout the week of the display, as well as special visits from Santa for the children.
All trees must be artificial trees.
Trees may be any size, but smaller trees may have to be elevated to be enjoyed and may require additional set ups. We reserve the right to display small or miniature trees where we can fit them in. We suggest floor trees of five feet and up. The taller ones are the most impressive.
Trees must be properly secured for free standing. A good solid stand will provide the best stability.
A skirting or a stand covered with cotton batting is recommended. Items placed at the bottom, or on the skirting, will be considered part of the tree and will be given away, unless otherwise noted.
Although it is not mandatory, white lights seem to be the most pleasant to the eye.
A new extension cord must be provided and meet standard electrical codes.
You need to select a theme of your choice to be displayed under your Company or Group name on both your sign and raffle ticket box. The theme may represent your business, areas of interest (hobbies etc.), the holidays, or any other theme that you would be proud to have your business or group associated with in the public eye. The winner of your tree will be drawn from your raffle container at the close of the Feztival.
Set-up at Kora Shrine Center 11 Sabattus Street, Lewiston, Maine will be Wednesday November 20th and Thursday November 21st from 9am to 8pm and also on Friday, November 22nd from 9am to 3pm. All trees must be in place by 3 PM Friday the 22nd.
No items can be placed along the fence.
Empty boxes decorated as Christmas gifts and placed under the tree must be labeled "For Display Purposes Only" on the package.
Please give your registration form and commitment to Kora Temple by November 9, 2013, so we can reserve a space for your creation. There is a limited number of spots allowed.
