Springfield February Board Meeting Report
Tim Luttrell-Board Member
PP Glen Lalumiere-Associate Board Member
Starting this month and each month moving forward we will share information we received while attending our monthly Board Meeting in Springfield. Our goal is to keep the nobility of Kora more informed as to what is going on with our Hospital in Springfield.
The most important message is that Springfield is not closing! There are many rumors out there that are stating this and I can assure you that is just not true. While we may change the way we do things in the future, the Hospital will remain open for business.
We welcomed our new part-time Administrator, Charles Walczak from our Erie Hospital. Charles will share time between Springfield and Erie. Also this month we met our new Associate Director of Donor Relations, Jeffrey Lavalley. Both are very excited to be in Springfield and are looking forward to working with the Staff and Board of Governors.
A special thanks to all the Units and Clubs that made donations to Springfield at the Ceremonial back in January. PP Glen and I made the presentations in January and you should all be receiving Thank-you’s from the Hospital as well. If any Unit or Club would like to make a direct donation to Springfield, the following funds need money-Wheelchair Fund, Housing Fund and the Hospital Transportation Fund. When making out your check, please be sure to include what fund you would like your donation to go towards. Contact PP Glen or myself with any questions.
We will be kicking off a $400,000 advertising Campaign this year as well. This campaign will be centered on attracting new patients in the greater western Mass area. Our home office in Tampa has also hired a new Public Relations / Marketing firm, Leo Burnett which should be of great value to all of our Hospitals. It was also announced that our Hospitals did win the online contest and won 3 million flyer miles from United Airlines.
Lastly, we ask that you go to our blog for Springfield, www.springfieldshrinersblog.com and register your email address so you will receive updates when new information is put on the blog.
Thanks again for allowing us to represent you in Springfield.
Tim Luttrell and P.P. Glen Lalumiere
