In April of 1977 a group of Nobles in the Rangeley area formed the North Franklin County Shrine Association. At their first formal meeting there were 8 members present.

In 1983 a formal letter was sent to then Potentate Tom Haley requesting the association be allowed to form a Shrine club. That request was granted and the Western Mountains Shrine Club was formed with approximately 30 members.

At present we have 140 members from around the country. Our meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. All members are encouraged to attend and bring along their ladies at our supper meetings.
