Shriners' Fly In and Car Show slated

- The Kora Shrine will host its 3rd annual Fly In and Car Show Saturday
and Sunday, July 14-15, at Twitchell's Airport on Route 4. Last year,
more than 350 cars were on display, and there were numerous airplane
displays.
This year's car show, to be held Sunday, will be a
judged event with first-, second- and third-place awards for 26
different vehicle classifications, plus an overall Best of Show award
selected by the general public. Sunday's events will run from 8 a.m. to
3 p.m.
The car cruise on Saturday will leave Twitchell's at 5:30
p.m. sharp and return about an hour later. A pig roast and live music
will follow the cruise.
Preregistration is encouraged. Cost is
$5 per vehicle. General admission on the day of the show for the public
is $5 per person, with discounted prices for children. Food and
beverages will also be available.
For more than 80 years,
Shriners Hospitals for Children have provided free medical care to some
735,000 children with orthopedic problems, severe burns and spinal cord
injuries.
