  Mid-Coast Shrine Club
  Any Shriner in good standing with his Temple is welcome to become a member. Our dues are just $10.00/Yr. Our service area is Knox and Lincoln Counties. Do to the area served by our Club (roughly 100 miles East to West) we do not have a Club house but instead meet at a different location each month (Sept. - June) so we meet at least once a year somewhere near all of our members. Our primary goal is to help support the $100 Million Dollar Club through monthly donations as memorials to those who have answered the call of the Black Camel, to honor those who have been of service to the Club or for whatever reason one wishes to adopt, even if it is "Just because". To date we have received at least one donation to the $100 Million Dollar Club during each of the last 285 consecutive Club meetings - that's 28 1/2 years of consecutive giving to help the kids. We have our own Parade Unit which is a train consisting of an engine a passenger car and a caboose. It is most often seen in KORA Temple Ceremonial parades, the Thomaston July 4 parade and the Rockland Lobster Festival parade. However, we do attend other area parades when requested to do so. Our biggest fund raisers are our annual Chowder Supper, usually held on a Saturday in early summer, and our Hot Dog Wagon. The Hot Dog Wagon usually comes out of hibernation for the Medomak Valley High School Project Graduation Car Show in early May and may appear anywhere throughout the summer. During 2010 we had one the Medomak Car Show and the Rockland Lobster Boat Races. We are still scheduled for July 3 for Thomaston's July 4 celebration and the KORA Fly-in and Car Show. We also use it to dispense candy, delivered through PVC tubes to street level, to kids on the sidelines during the Lobster Festival parade.
