Mission
The Log Rollers were started in 1988 by Harold Jordan who purchase the first truck. In 1989 the Log Roller Unit was accepted as a Kora unit and Harold became the first Director. After six years at the throttle the members of the unit elected Arthur Jordan, Harold's son, the Director. Arthur is still leading the parades today. The Log Rollers promote Kora Temple and good fellowship.
Membership
The unit consists of 27 members and has 23 trucks. They participate in about 20 parades a year in 3 states and 2 countries. New members are voted on and must be unanimously approved by the members.
Uniform and Dues
The unit provides one complete parade uniform and there are no annual dues. There is a dress suit that must be purchased by the member. Ladies wear unit shirts and jackets.
Attendance
The Unit has an annual meeting to elect officers and discuss unit business. There are regular meetings held the first Sunday of each non-parade month. There are meetings after each parade. There is no required attendance; however, parade participation is the backbone of this unit.
Application
Applications are available from the Director or the Secretary. The classes of membership are regular and honorary. There are no application fees.
Miscellaneous
This is a family oriented unit. The families bring along the children and grand children to the parades. The unit has family parties, and many members you'll see camping together at many functions.
